Hamsey Community Primary School is a small and inclusive school dedicated to providing high-quality education and fostering a love of learning. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years/Year 1 teacher to join our supportive team, working in an environment that encourages creativity, growth, and innovation.
Role Overview: As an Early Years/Year 1 Teacher, you will play a key role in nurturing and developing our pupils during their first years of education. You will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging classroom environment, delivering high-quality lessons, and supporting the social and emotional development of the children in your care. This is a full-time position to start in September 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Create a stimulating and safe learning environment where children can thrive.
- Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing regular feedback to families.
- Foster positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.
- Work collaboratively with the wider school community to promote an inclusive and supportive environment.
- Support pupils’ social and emotional development through effective communication and care.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A passion for teaching and working with young children.
- Experience in teaching Early Years and/or Year 1.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- A creative approach to teaching and learning, with a focus on active and hands-on experiences.
- A commitment to creating a positive and inclusive classroom culture.
